Broken pieces, renewed spirit.

Ash to Amity began with my belief that resilience and beauty can be found in what is broken. Once an athlete, I faced the sudden reality of life in a wheelchair within a single year.

Through determination and persistence, I fought back. Living with Stiff Person Syndrome and Addison’s Disease has forced me to adapt in ways that echo in my work. When my right arm cramped too much to continue, I taught myself to paint with my left.

Each brushstroke is proof that beauty can emerge from struggle, and that creativity always finds a way forward. As a mom of four, I’ve learned to weave creativity into the everyday rhythm of family life.

Painting and restoring furniture began as something I squeezed into small pockets of time, but it has grown into a way of expressing resilience and joy.

The name Ash to Amity embodies this transformation. It is a symbol of resilience, renewal, and second chances—for the furniture and for myself. What I do is more than restore furniture—it is a reminder that imperfection holds potential, and that second chances are worth celebrating. At Ash to Amity, you’ll discover furniture reborn with soul, strength, and story.

Each piece carries its own journey, ready to bring warmth, color, and meaning into your home.
